OPERATION PURPOSE
Investors receive OCIFRANCE.ART “tokens”, where ART stands for “Asset-Referenced Tokens” (see European MiCA regulations). These digital tokens, also known as utility tokens, are backed by the company’s shares, guaranteeing investors the same performance as the shares as well as the right to receive rewards. Utility tokens are designed to give investors benefits without granting them governance rights in the company.
The European Union’s MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulation establishes a legal compliance framework for crypto-assets, including asset-referenced tokens. These regulations aim to ensure investor protection and market integrity.
The Shared Electronic Recording Device (DEEP) is a device used by OCI to record and track all shares and tokens issued. This ensures secure, transparent and traceable management of digital tokens, reducing the risk of fraud and increasing investor confidence in the system.
